Update On Jim Iyke’s Deliverance At TB Joshua's Church

More than a week after Jim Iyke’s ‘deliverance’ at the Synagogue Church of all Nations, friends, colleagues, fans and critics are still talking about it in one form or another.

The 'deliverance' came as a surprise to most people, given the fact the actor is widely known as Nollywood’s ‘bad’ boy, some still believe the actor was doing what he knows best – acting.

The soft porn actress, Afrocandy, didn’t waste time comment on the issue:
On her twitter handle earlier in the week, she said, “Na wa for our actors, Jim Iyke took his stunts to the altar. I wonder how much he got paid for the ‘movie’. Nevertheless, he is a very good actor.”

Some actors like Segun Arinze and Charles Novia had condemned the ‘deliverance’. In fact, former House of Representatives member, Patrick Obahiagbon, also voiced his distaste for the deliverance. He said on his twitter handle, “Bad script, gaudy acting, flashy colours, terrible acting, gullible audience. Come to think of it, Nollywood and Nigerian churches really do have a lot in common.”

But comedian, Okey Bakassi, wasn’t of the same opinion as he congratulated Jim for ‘being man enough’.

The comedian said, “I’m fed up with all the noise about my actor colleague who gained independence from ‘demonic influence or ‘deliverance’ at Synagogue. I respect him for seeking spiritual help when others are shying away from the reality of their situation

"Even those who are ‘demons’ themselves are throwing insults at Jim. Our level of hypocrisy in Nigeria is nauseating. Established ‘sinners’ find it convenient to throw stones at those whose stories become public, making it more difficult for people to seek help.

"If you have never presented yourself for ‘deliverance’ keep quiet because you’re not sure of what forces are speaking through you.”
